Phillip Tryon, RDA

Phillip has been working with Dr. Lin since 1998 and has twenty-two years of experience working with dental patients.

Registered Dental Assistant

I began my dental training in 1983 at the Southern California Regional Occupation Center (SCROC.) Soon after completing my studies there, I moved to San Francisco where I began working in my first dental office.

After six years at that office I decided to get licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA.) Before taking my state boards for this license, I felt the need to get caught up on current techniques and information in dentistry, so I enrolled at the Bryman School Dental Program in San Francisco. In mid 1990 I passed my state boards and received my license as an RDA. Included in my credential are an x-radiation license and coronal polishing (tooth polishing) license. I also keep in compliance with state license renewal regulations by completing at least twenty-five hours of continuing education courses every two years.

Professional Teamwork

Dr. Lin and I have worked together since 1998, and have a great deal of respect for each other as professionals, as well as a great and long-lasting personal friendship. I had the honor of working with him, from start to finish, in the construction of our wonderful new office, and I am looking forward to years of serving him and you, our patients.

Experience

Over the past twenty-two years I have developed the clinical and interpersonal skills required to function as a valued member of a dental team. These skills have given me a wide range of functions in the dental office, from reception, insurance, and financial administration, to chair-side and clinical staff management. I enjoy the clinical and chair-side duties the most, and feel that working so closely with patients and other assistants, hygienists, and doctors has not only contributed to my growth as a dental professional, but also to my growth as a caring human being. I give my patients and co-workers the same care that I would my family members, which I feel contributes to my continued success in this profession.
